More than 300 Register for First Nepal Autism Summit 2026

Kathmandu, 15 September 2026: More than 300 people have registered for the First Nepal Autism Summit 2026, reflecting growing interest in autism inclusion and the need for stronger national dialogue and action on autism in Nepal.

Organized by Inclusive Education Nepal (IEN), Samanata School, Orchid Center and BIFA, the Summit is bringing together a diverse group of participants, including educators, parents and families, professionals, disability rights advocates, organizations, policymakers and others working to advance inclusion. Registration officially closed on 15 September 2026 following an encouraging response from across Nepal.

The strong participation highlights the growing recognition that autism is not only a matter of health or specialized services, but also an important issue of education, disability rights, accessibility, participation and social inclusion.

The Summit aims to create a national platform for sharing knowledge, experiences and promising practices, while strengthening collaboration among stakeholders working to improve the lives of autistic people and their families.

For IEN, the Summit response marks an important moment for Nepal’s inclusion movement.

“The number of registrations demonstrates that Nepal is ready for a stronger and more coordinated conversation on autism inclusion. The Summit is not an end in itself, but a starting point for building greater understanding, stronger systems and more inclusive opportunities for autistic people across Nepal.”

With more than 300 participants registered, the First Nepal Autism Summit is expected to provide an important platform to connect people and organizations, amplify voices, and identify practical pathways toward a more inclusive Nepal. The conversation on autism inclusion in Nepal is growing. The next step is turning that conversation into action.
